Lord Vishnu
Lord Vishnu, the preserver and protector in the Hindu trinity (Trimurti), is venerated as the deity who sustains the universe and upholds dharma (cosmic order). Depicted with a serene expression, blue skin, and four arms holding a conch (shankha), discus (chakra), mace (gada), and lotus (padma), Vishnu embodies divine virtues such as compassion, righteousness, and omnipotence. His celestial abode is Vaikuntha, and he rests upon the cosmic serpent, Ananta Shesha, symbolizing infinity. Vishnu’s ten primary incarnations, known as the Dashavatara, including Rama and Krishna, manifest whenever evil threatens to disrupt cosmic balance, demonstrating his role as the savior of humanity. The Bhagavad Gita, a revered scripture within the Mahabharata, showcases his teachings on duty, devotion, and wisdom through the words of Krishna. Temples like Tirupati Balaji and Ranganathaswamy attract millions of devotees who seek Lord Vishnu's blessings for protection, prosperity, and spiritual guidance.
