Tripura Sundari Temple, located in Udaipur, Tripura, is an ancient and revered Hindu shrine dedicated to Goddess Tripura Sundari, an embodiment of the Divine Mother and a form of Shakti. Also known as Matabari, this temple is regarded as one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, believed to be the spot where Sati's right foot fell. Constructed in the 16th century by Maharaja Dhanya Manikya, the temple’s architecture features a distinctive, square-shaped sanctum crowned by a dome. The idol of Tripura Sundari, called Soroshi, is made of black stone and is worshipped with profound devotion. The temple premises include a sacred pond known as Kalyan Sagar, where devotees offer prayers and feed the holy fish.
